Duty free trade with the USA

We export mostly to USA.  At the same time there is no free trade agreement between India and the US.  Free trade agreements give importers exemption from import duties.  That way they can get more profit.   But this duty exemption is not available when exporting from India to USA.  At the same time, when we export from Mauritius to the US, the US importer can claim this tax exemption.  The Mauritius High Commissioner said this in a recent meeting held in Kolkata.  The African growth and opportunity act (AGOA) has been signed by the government of Mauritius.  With this, importers do not need to pay any duty on goods exported from Mauritius to Africa and America.  Indian exporters exporting to the US can avail this benefit by registering their company in Mauritius and exporting from there.  This will lead to retention of importers and more new export orders.  To know more about this you can contact the office of the Mauritius High Commissioner.
