₹2600 crores as export incentive

The Union Commerce Minister recently addressed an industry confederation.
By 2030, leather goods and footwear exports are likely to reach $50 billion, he said.
To achieve that goal we need to focus on three things.
The Indian brand should be spread globally.
 Create new designs.
He said that India should take advantage of free trade agreements.
The Minister further informed that the central government has earmarked 2600 crore rupees for the leather goods sector as a production-based incentive.
We are the second largest producer of leather goods in the world.  We are ninth in leather goods exports.
