Restrictions on sugar exports will continue
Restrictions have already been imposed on sugar exports from India. In this situation, it was expected that the new marketing year will start from October and the export of sugar will be allowed again. But the Government of India has not given permission to export sugar due to various reasons such as low domestic yield and high prices.
In this case, the ban on sugar exports has been extended indefinitely. At the same time, there is no restriction on the export of sugar as per the trade agreements between India and the US and the trade agreements between India and the European Union.
This is declared to apply to all refined and unrefined sugars.
