There is an Export promotion council to sell value added products made from jute.
Additional funds have been earmarked for the council to explore opportunities in various countries around the world to export value-added jute products.
As domestic demand for jute is much higher than exports, the central government has taken various initiatives to ensure domestic availability of jute products at affordable prices.
