Nepal depends on Indian wheat.
Last year there was a ban on Indian wheat exports.
But the Indian government is exporting itself to the needy countries on welfare basis.
Agreed to export 50,000 tonnes to Nepal.
Accordingly, India has already exported 33 thousand tons.
Exporting the remaining 14,000 tonnes is now impossible, it said.
This is due to the heat wave attack in North India and the harvest has been greatly reduced.
More importantly domestic demand has to be met.
But Nepal is asking India to help with 2 lakh tonnes of wheat.
80% of flour milling mills in Nepal have closed down after India stopped exporting wheat.
Every time the Indian government exports wheat to Nepal on a quota basis, the market price there drops by Rs five to seven rupees per kg.
