Last May 1, 2022, India and the United Arab Emirates signed a free trade agreement.
Since then, the trade between the two countries has increased tremendously.
Export-import trade rose to an all-time high of $32 billion.
Our Prime Minister of India proudly said this on his Twitter page.
In May alone, when the agreement came into effect, goods worth $1.3 billion were exported. They got zeor duty in the UAE.
Large quantities of gems and jewellery, automobiles, coffee, tea, iron and steel, & ready-made garments etc. were exported.
