As vegetable oil prices rose sharply in India last year, import duty on sunflower oil was completely removed.
This duty waiver is applicable to the import of two million liters of sunflower oil for a period of one year.
At the time of the removal of the import tax, duty-free imports would remain in effect for the next two years.
But now, as vegetable oil prices have come under control, it seems that the import duty will come back into effect from April 1, 2023.
