Ideal material to import from Australia.
India Australia Free Trade Agreement came into effect from 29th December, 2022.
According to this agreement, various trade activities have been carried out in favor of both the countries.
Mandarin fruits are one of them.
From Australia we can import Mandarin fruits on quota basis.
Before this free trade agreement came into force, the import of these fruits had to pay 30 percent import duty.
Now it is enough to pay only 15 percent import duty which is reduced by 50 percent.
We can import these fruits from Australia to the extent of 13,700 tons per year.
It is understood that this import duty may be further reduced or eliminated completely in the future.
