What does the future hold for non-basmati rice exports?

India was the largest exporter of rice during the pandemic.
Many countries that were competing with India in rice exports imported rice from India.
Almost all the countries of the world bought and stored Indian rice.
Currently the situation is changing slightly.
Non-basmati rice exports are declining little by little.
In some Asian countries, the supply of paddy to the market has increased after the harvest.
Some exporters who exported rice from India to Vietnam had trouble getting paid.
Due to this other rice exporters are reluctant to export to Vietnam.
Another major challenge for rice exports is the rise in freight rates.
At the same time the number of orders coming in from African countries has increased.
100 per cent broken rice is exported from India to many African countries by brake-bulk vessel.
It is noteworthy that these exports increased by 13.7 percent compared to last year.
