Federal government tries to fix container shortage
There is a shortage of containers in various countries around the world.
The main reason for this is that China is buying empty containers at high prices so as not to greatly affect its exports.
Thus the container required for export to various countries is not available.
This is the reason why there is a shortage of containers in many countries, including India.
The central government is taking various initiatives to rectify this.
Container Corporation of India has been ordered to immediately manufacture 4000 containers.
There is a law that imported containers must be discharged from India within 6 months.
If so, the shipping company will have to pay import tax to India.
That is, the federal government considers the container to be imported as a commodity.
This six-month period has now been extended to 9 months.
This makes the container a little more accessible to exporters.
But this is a temporary solution.
