India USA trade agreement

Free trade agreements were signed between India and the United States during the tenure of former US President Donald Trump.

Steps have been taken to bring the two countries to agree to trade without any import duty, especially on agricultural products and medical equipments.

The move has not been fully implemented since the election was announced in the United States.

After the inauguration of the new President Joe Biden, he ordered the US authorities to abandon all such free trade agreements.

All free trade agreements that the US government was to undertake not only with India but also with various other countries were canceled.

Instead of a free trade agreement, he has ordered action to increase trade relations with India to $ 500 billion over a five-year period
