Andhra Pradesh is the largest producer and exporter of shrimp in India.
There are about 80 seafood exporters in Andhra Pradesh.
The Chinese government has banned 25 of these companies from exporting to their country.
The main reason for this was that the shrimp boxes they exported contained the corona virus.
About 44% of the shrimp grown in Andhra Pradesh are exported to China.
Currently, about 1,000 containers of shrimp are being exported and blocked by the Chinese government.
Their total value is Rs 1,200 crore.
The Chinese government has taken this step on suspicion that there may be corona virus traces in the boxes of these shrimp kept alone.
These containers have been waiting there for about two months.
If you wait two more months like this, all these shrimps are more likely to go rotten.
The United States is the largest buyer of shrimps from India.
In second place is China.
Even the United States, which buys large quantities of shrimp, does not commit such atrocities.
