Tamarind from India is exported to many countries with value addition.
Dried tamarind alone exported $ 19 million from India to countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Egypt, Turkey and Vietnam last year.
Developed countries do not buy much of dried tamarind but only value added tamarind.
But the countries mentioned above continue to buy dried tamarind from us.
