Out of a total of 7964 containers of grapes amounting to one lakh 6 thousand tonnes last year, only one has been exported from the state of Maharashtra.
Exports in the previous year were 92,342 tonnes in 6842 containers.
About 90% of the total grapes exported from India are from Nashik alone.
The Netherlands imports 64% of India's grape exports.
Next importer is the United Kingdom.
Germany, Finland, Denmark, Spain, Switzerland, Ireland and Poland are the major importers of grapes from India.
Grapes have not been exported from states like Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for the last two years.
Until two years ago these states held a certain percentage of grape exports on hand.
