Flower cultivation for export takes place in the Hosur area covering an area of about one thousand 300 acres.

The industry, which has been going very profitable for the last 10 years, is now declining a little bit.
During the period 2015-2016, 22 thousand tons of flowers were exported.
During the period 2016 - 2018, 20,000 tons were exported.
It was reduced to 19,000 tonnes during the 2018 - 2019 period.
In the period 2019-2020 it was further reduced to 14 thousand 385 tons.
It went down to about 5000 tons in the period 2021.
The industry will continue to suffer until the federal government takes action to investigate the exact reasons for this.
Because there are various European countries competing with us in the export of flowers.
